    Received your items and didn't love it?  You are always welcome to return, or exchange at a Buttercup Exchange store. You have 30 days to decide if an item is right for you. We offer exchanges and refunds on garments, shoes, hair accessories and other small accessories (like bibs and neck ties) with a receipt within 30 days of purchase. We will issue a refund to the original form of payment. Please allow up to 14 days for your transaction to process.


    Just bring a copy of your shipping confirmation e-mail or the packing slip along with the item(s) you wish to return/exchange to the store. 


    You have 30 days to decide if an item is right for you. Buttercup Exchange will refund or exchange an item, provided that it has not been additionally damaged, soiled, washed, altered or worn and that all labels and tags are attached.


    You can easily return items by following these steps:

    1. Make a copy of your order from your email, write the reason you are returning the item.

    2. Place this copy inside your package.

    3. Take the parcel to any USPS Mailbox or Post Office of your choice.

    Please note, that you cannot exchange items online. If you prefer items in another color, or size, just return the items you don’t like and place a new order on

    We recommend that you send your return with a traceable carrier such as USPS, UPS or FedEx, using the adress listed below.
    Keep the Return Tracking Number from the package you are returning to ensure that the package is returned to our warehouse. 
    Buttercup Exchange is not responsible for packages sent to an incorrect address.  Buttercup Exchange does not accept C.O.D. deliveries.

    Returned by mail

    We will refund the value of your returned items less the Shipping & Handling costs to the original form of payment used for the purchase.

    You will receive a Return Note by email when we have processed your return and refund. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the credit to be reflected in your account. Allow up to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.


    Gift Card

    If you want to return items that were paid for using Buttercup Exchange Gift Cards, then you will be issued an e-gift card with an updated balance, even if you paid with a physical gift card. You will receive your new Buttercup Exchange e-gift card via email within 48 hours of your processed return.

    If you used a Buttercup Exchange Gift Card and another payment method, we will first issue you a new e-gift card for the amount spent using the Buttercup Exchange Gift Card. The remaining balance will be refunded to the second payment method used for purchase.

    For example: you placed an order totaling $100, and you paid $25 by gift card and $75 with a credit card. You decide to return $50 worth of items. We will refund $25 to a new e-gift card, and $25 to your credit card.

    Return in-store

    We will issue a refund to the original form of payment.

    If you used a Buttercup Exchange Gift Card together with another payment method, a Buttercup Exchange e-Merchandise Card will be issued before refund to other payment methods. 

    Please note that the shipping fee will not be refunded.
